Pure copper

Pure copper has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance and good plasticity in the atmosphere, fresh water and condensate.
Impurity elements:
Bismuth or lead: easy to form low melting point eutectic with copper, resulting in hot brittleness of copper;
Bismuth or antimony, etc. : The atomic size of copper is very different, and it is easy to cause bismuth or antimony in copper
The segregation at grain boundaries results in a strong tendency of grain boundary embrittlement.
Oxygen element: Copper containing oxygen is easy to crack during hydrogen reduction.
Grade and application of industrial pure copper
According to different O% and production methods, it can be divided into three categories:
Tough Copper:
0.02%-0.10%O; T1, T2, T3, T4;
T1, T2: conductive and high purity copper alloy;
T3, T4: generally used copper and copper alloy.
Oxygen-free copper:
<0.003%;
TU1, TU2: mainly used for conductors in electronic vacuum instruments
Deoxidized copper:
<0.01%; TUP, TUMn;
TUP: mainly used for welding copper, making heat exchangers, drainage pipes, condensing pipes, etc.
TUMn: Copper for electronic pipes.
