Powerful Solutions For Business Growth
High-speed steel (HSS or HS) is a tool steel with high hardness, high wear resistance and high heat resistance, also known as high-speed tool steel or front steel. High speed steel has good process performance, good strength and toughness, so it is mainly used to manufacture complex thin edge and impact resistant metal cutting tools, and can also manufacture high temperature bearings and cold extrusion molds.
The composition of high-speed steel (HSS or HS) generally comprises alloying elements such as tungsten, molybdenum, chromium, vanadium, and cobalt. These elements play a crucial role in enhancing the mechanical properties by significantly increasing hardness and improving wear resistance. The heat treatment process further refines these attributes by hardening the material while ensuring it maintains adequate toughness for practical applications.

High speed steel GV3 one - special tap
GV3 high speed steel for the new generation tap, die and thread tool special grade, is the French Ehrmann high speed steel company after years of efforts in 2004, the purpose of replacing the traditional M2, M35 high speed steel materials. GV3 is a vanadium based steel number developed to fill the gap in performance and grindability between traditional and powder high speed steels. Its chemical composition effectively synthesizes the properties of alloying elements, making it both high wear resistance and good toughness. After the use of many tap manufacturers, it is found that GV3 material completely exceeds M2 and M35 high-speed steel materials in many aspects, and is currently an ideal tap material.

1, about 3% vanadium and smaller carbide, with high wear resistance and superior tool performance
2, high hardness, quenching up to HRC67 (equivalent to M9V or M35, more superior than M3:2) 3, good toughness and impact resistance (equivalent to M35 or M3:2, more superior than M9V)
4, about 3% vanadium and low nitrogen content (less than 60ppm), as well as the latest scouring technology, ensure that GV3 has better wear resistance than M9V, M35 supply size @0.2mm -@200mm
