1.20MNCR5 Alloy Steel Round Bar
20MNCR5 alloy steel round rods are made from a mixture of carbon, manganese, chromium and other elements. This combination of materials gives this steel grade excellent strength and toughness, as well as excellent wear resistance. At the same time, carbon steel 20Mncr5 rods are surface hardened, with a hard and wear-resistant outer layer, protecting the soft core of steel, making them very suitable for use in the range of 1000-1300 N/mm² high core tensile strength parts, excellent hardenability also makes 20MNCR5 alloy steel round rods with high versatility and utility. 6.Characteristics
DIN 20MnCr5 / 20MnCrS5 grade is a low-alloy steel containing chromium as strengthening agent. The steel has good strength and toughness in low temperature, hardenability and machinability, less deformation after heat treatment, but poor weldability
7.Applications
This low-alloy steel can be case hardened, or quenched and tempered, for carburized parts as well as quenched and tempered parts with large section under heavy bent load and speed, such as gear, connecting rod, shaft, worm, sleeve, friction wheel, gear pump without heavy impact, water pump rotor, clutch, bolt for high pressure vessel, etc.
