1: DIN 1.2738 steel introduction
DIN 1.2738 is specially used for Plastic injection die moulds. The characteristics of a material are right sharpening, photo-etching properties with high purity and good homogeneity.
DIN 1.2738 is upgraded version of plastic mold steel 0f 1.2311, which normally supply in Pre hardened condition. Hardness in as supplied condition 280-320 HB with having uniform hardness.
The additional nickel content of 1 % increases through hardening. It has good machinability, suitable for Texturing, fine polishability, adequate corrosion resistance, vacuum-degassed steel.

4: DIN 1.2738 steel mechanical properties
The mechanical properties mainly include tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, area or reduction, hardness, impact value, non-metalic inclusion etc.
Different heat treatment, the mechanical properties will be different, such as normalized, tempered, QT. If you want to know the properties, kindly contact the salesman.
5.1.2738 Die steel is a die steel material produced in accordance with German DIN standard. Among similar grades of steel, it has relatively superior mechanical properties and good machinability. It is mainly used for the processing and production of hot working molds, among which plastic molds are the most widely used. In addition, the special pre-hardening treatment of the steel makes it have a good hardness when leaving the factory, which can reduce the heat treatment link in the normal mold processing and production, and improve the economic benefit.
We owns advanced special steel smelting facilities and forging processing equipments, the main steel-making equipment include 2 sets of 50t ultra-high power electric arc furnaces,2 sets of 60t LF refining furnaces,1 set of 60t vacuum degassing refining furnace and 4 sets of 1-20t electroslag re-melting furnaces.
The main forging equipments mainly include:3 sets of 5t electro-hydraulic hammers, 1 set of high-speed forging units of 800t,1600t,2000t and 4500t respectively.
