X53CrMnNiN219 (1.4871) is an Austenitic heat-resistant steel with carbide as precipitation hardening phase, which is used to make exhaust valves for gasoline engines mainly subjected to high temperature strength. The steel contains higher Cr, which results in higher oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. The austenitic structure can be obtained by adding Mn, Ni and N. The precipitation strengthening phase can be obtained by adding C and N.
