316Ti stainless steel is an improved version of 316 stainless steel, whose main components include nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo). Its chemical composition contains about 16% to 18% chromium, 10% to 14% nickel and 2% to 3% molybdenum, giving it good corrosion resistance, especially in Marine environments and chemical media. The 316Ti stainless steel is added to titanium (Ti) on the basis of 316, and the general titanium content is between 0.5% and 1%. The addition of titanium can effectively improve the high temperature creep resistance and intergranular corrosion resistance of stainless steel. This makes 316Ti particularly suitable for high temperature and corrosive environments, such as petrochemical and offshore engineering.
In addition, due to the addition of titanium, 316Ti has better stability at high temperatures, especially after welding, which can maintain the organizational structure of stainless steel and reduce the formation of σ phase. For this reason, 316Ti is often used in applications that require prolonged high-temperature operation or welding.
