Excellent Corrosion Resistance: AMS 5666 inconel 625 Plate Material offers outstanding resistance to various corrosive media in both oxidative and reductive environments. It exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular corrosion, and erosion in chloride-containing media. It can resist corrosion from inorganic acids such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid, as well as alkalis and organic acids. Additionally, it has effective resistance to stress-corrosion cracking caused by chloride ions. It is highly resistant to corrosion in seawater and industrial gas environments.

Good High-Temperature Performance: Inconel 625 maintains high strength, hardness, and creep resistance at elevated temperatures. The addition of elements such as chromium, molybdenum, and niobium enhances its high-temperature strength and creep resistance. It can function stably at temperatures up to 980°C.

 

Good Processability and Weldability: The alloy has good workability and can be processed by various methods such as forging, rolling, turning, and drilling, allowing the production of components in complex shapes. Its weldability is also excellent, with no cracking sensitivity after welding, making it convenient for welding and assembly and improving production efficiency and product quality.

Other Properties: The density of Inconel 625 is 8.4 g/cm³, and its melting point ranges from 1290°C to 1350°C. The alloy is non-magnetic and has a moderate thermal expansion coefficient, which helps maintain dimensional stability in environments with significant temperature changes.
