Performance Characteristics:
Corrosion Resistance:
Exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in various chemical processing environments containing oxidizing and reducing media. It is one of the few materials capable of withstanding corrosion from moist chlorine, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions. It also has notable resistance to high concentrations of chloride solutions, such as ferric chloride and copper chloride.
Mechanical Properties:
Offers high strength and toughness. Under tensile conditions, the elastic modulus is approximately 205 × 10³ MPa. With proper heat treatment and processing, its yield and tensile strengths meet the requirements of a wide range of engineering applications.
Thermal Stability:
Maintains good stability in high-temperature environments and can withstand moderate temperature fluctuations without significant performance degradation. It is suitable for use in environments involving high temperatures, inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid), and seawater corrosion.
Processing and Forming:
Can be processed using both hot and cold working methods, including forging, rolling, drawing, and bending. During hot processing, it is essential to control temperature and technique to prevent overheating or burning. Cold-worked parts usually require annealing to relieve stress and restore material properties.
