42CrMo4 alloy steel - SAE-AISI 4140 is a low alloy steel. Medium carbon steel is a high strength steel, among which EN19 is an important member of the low alloy category. These steels exhibit positive responses to various heat treatments. 42CrMo4 is a general purpose high strength steel with 1% chromium-molybdenum medium hardenability - usually quenched and tempered in the tensile range of 850 -- 1000 Mpa (condition T).

Heat treatment of aisi 4140 steel
Annealing
AISI 4140 alloy steel is annealed at 872°C (1600°F) followed by slowly cooling in the furnace.
Tempering
AISI 4140 alloy steel can be tempered at 205 to 649°C (400 to 1200°F) depending upon the desired hardness level. The hardness of the steel can be increased if it has lower tempering temperature
Hardening
AISI 4140 alloy steel can be hardened by cold working, or heating and quenching.

5.Packing and Delivery

Packing Details:
1.One bundle including one heat no., one size only.
2.Bundle weight 2 tons to 4tons.
3.At least 3-4 metal straps on each bundle to make it strong enought by loading and unloading.
4.Each bundle should carry label which will show the heat number, size, quantity in pcs, weight , origin or as your requirements.
5.One bundle includes one heat number steel bars only.

Delivery Method
1.Shipment canbe made by 20' container, 40' container or bulk vessel.
2.One 20' container can load max 27tons, 40' container can load max 28.5tons, and bulk vessel doesn't have limit for weights.
3.We can load max length of 6000mm to 20' container, and 12000mm length to 40' containers, and bulk vessel doesn't have limit for lenths

2.Delivery time : 7-10 days for stocks, and 30 days for new production items.
