1.2888 – RM10Co steel is a high-alloy special steel with extremely high tempering resistance. RM10Co is suitable for particular requirements in respect of hightemperature wear resistance and resistance against molten metals. Both 1.2888 and 1.2885 materials have Co content and they are within our capacity.

Tungsten (W) | Approximately 5 - 6% | Improves strength and wear resistance by forming hard carbides; has a positive impact on high-temperature strength, enabling it to perform well under high-load and high-temperature conditions. |
Molybdenum (Mo) | Approximately 1.8 - 2.2% | Improves hardenability; contributes to improving high-temperature strength and creep resistance; can dissolve in the matrix or form carbides to enhance the mechanical properties in high-temperature and high-stress applications. |
Vanadium (V) | Approximately 0.1 - 0.5% | Forms hard and stable vanadium carbides, significantly enhancing wear resistance and strength; has a beneficial effect on the grain refinement of the steel, thereby improving its toughness and fatigue resistance. |
Silicon (Si) | Approximately 0.15 - 0.35% | Helps with deoxidation during the smelting process; has a slight impact on strength and hardness. |
Manganese (Mn) | Approximately 0.4 - 0.6% | Helps with deoxidation; improves hardenability and strength to a certain extent. |
Phosphorus (P) | ≤ 0.03% | Maintained at a low level because an excessive amount will lead to brittleness and reduce the quality of the steel. |
Sulfur (S) | ≤ 0.035% | Maintained at a low level because an excessive amount will lead to brittleness and reduce the quality of the steel. |
